The okie was the first deadlift bar made to these kind of specs originally sold as the oklahoma deadlift bar in 1984. The thinner bar shaft also contributes greatly to the feeling of grip security. It is the standard that other bars seem to be trying to copy over the last 35 years or so texas deadlift ohio deadlift etc and from my understanding they have managed to copy the dimensions pretty well but none have quite the same knurling. It comes in both bare steel and a bright zinc or black zinc finish. This great whip helps powerlifters to deadlift from a more advantageous position.

Rogue actually mentions that it is the same pattern as the ohio power only with a hint more depth which looks and feels about right to me. There is no center knurl. The bar evaluated for this review is bare steel. The ohio deadlift bar is knurled all the way to the sleeves while the texas deadlift bar has knurl that stops about 8 short of the sleeves. The bar weighs 20kg and the sleeves spin via bushing rather than bearing.

Basically this bar is the gold standard for deadlift bars and i can t recommend it highly enough. Sorry folks it s no longer sold at 1985 prices.
