If you cannot rack or twist the door a little to release that stuck latch your solution of removing the screws might be the better way to go to avoid damaging the door or the center lock assembly.
Motorhome door lock stuck.
Remove the three screws securing the interior door lock assembly with a star bit screwdriver.
If your lock is stuck.
Use a pair of pliers to bend the bent lever up into the proper position.

You ll know if you have a global lock because it will have a g on it.
But the first thing i would do is go to your local hardware store and gt a piece of carpenter s chalk.
The door has some jiggle room but one of the latches is still extended far enough to be catching on the door jam.

How i got in and replaced the lock.
This can be a common problem for rvs with the global lockset.
The door latch is stuck in the locked position.
Fortunately we are not camping.
Of course this is after you ve managed to open the storage compartment door.
The keys for the dead bolt and the latch handle are functional.
Wipe off your door jam area where the dead bolt would fit and then place a lot of the chalk onto the end of the dead bolt pin itself.
We are locked out of rv.
Swing the interior door lock assembly out of the way.
